Job Purpose: Lead - Retail is responsible for overseeing the retail operations and strategy at a large-scale airport, ensuring the establishment and success of multiple high-end retail brands. This role involves managing commercial relationships while managing X revenue, driving revenue growth, and enhancing the airport's reputation as a premier shopping destination.

Sales and Revenue Monitoring:

Develop and implement strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets and profitability goals.

Monitor and adjust strategies to meet revenue budgets for the store.

Brand Establishment and Retail Strategy:

Lead the identification and introduction of new brands at the airport, ensuring a diverse and appealing retail mix.

Develop strategic plans for retail zoning and merchandise placement, optimizing space usage and customer flow.

Outlet Commissioning and Renewal:

Coordinate with brand representatives to facilitate the timely commissioning of new brands.

Manage the setup process, ensuring all brand requirements are met within the defined timelines.

Manage the renewal process for existing retail contracts, ensuring timely negotiations and agreements.

Stakeholder Management:

Collaborate effectively with airport authorities, concessionaires, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and address challenges.

Champion exceptional customer service, ensuring a welcoming and efficient shopping experience for all customers.

Commercial Leasing and Negotiation:

Manage the leasing of retail spaces to various brands, negotiating terms that align with the airport's strategic goals.

Ensure that leases are structured to maximize profitability while maintaining strong relationships with retailers.

Operational Efficiency:

Manage and ensure the smooth functioning of all retail outlets within the airport, including monitoring staff performance, store presentation, and customer service standards.

Develop, implement, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistent service quality, brand standards, and operational efficiency across all retail outlets.

Brand Positioning:

Execute Adani Group's brand marketing initiatives within the store to drive brand awareness.

Implement promotional strategies to increase foot traffic and sales.

Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure all retail operations comply with company policies and legal regulations.

Maintain safety standards and mitigate potential risks to protect the store and its employees.

Team Leadership and Development:

Encourage team collaboration and accountability, fostering a culture of continuous improvement to meet organizational goals effectively.

Mentor and coach team members, identifying high-potential individuals and developing them into future leaders through focused development plans.

Digital Mindset:

Keep up with digital and AI advancements to enhance business and maintain competitiveness.

Education Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing, or a related field.

Master's Degree (preferred) in Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Retail Management, Marketing, or Strategic Management.

Work Qualifications:

Minimum 12 years of experience in retail management, preferably within the airport retail sector, with proven success leading a large retail team.
