Job Description: Network Validation Engineer

Location: Bengaluru

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented engineer to join our team for NIC driver testing and networking validation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with network hardware, protocols, and driver-level testing, and will contribute to the development, testing, and optimization of high-performance network solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute test plans for NIC drivers across various operating systems (Linux, Windows).
  • Perform functional, performance, and regression testing of NIC drivers and firmware.
  • Analyze and debug issues at the driver, kernel, and hardware levels.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure driver stability and performance.
  • Validate RDMA networking features and conduct performance testing using perftest.
  • Perform NCCL testing for distributed training workloads and ensure optimal communication performance across GPUs.
  • Validate networking features such as VLAN, QoS, Jumbo Frames, SR-IOV, RSS, and TSO.
  • Automate test cases using scripting languages.
  • Document test results, create bug reports, and track issues to resolution.
  • Stay updated with the latest networking standards and technologies (e.g., Ethernet, TCP/IP, RDMA, DPDK).

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in NIC driver testing or network protocol validation.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, ARP).
  • Experience with Linux kernel networking stack and driver development/testing.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM/QEMU, SR-IOV).
  • Hands-on experience with network traffic generators and analyzers.
  • Knowledge of test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with RDMA technologies (RoCE, InfiniBand) and related testing tools.
  • Familiarity with NCCL and GPU-based communication libraries for distributed computing.
  • Certifications like CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are a plus.

  • Testing Tools: IXIA, Wireshark, iperf, netperf, IB-perftest, NCCL
  • Scripting: Python, Bash, Perl
  • Platforms: Linux, Windows, ESXi, QEMU
  • Version Control: Git, Jenkins
  • Protocols: Ethernet, TCP/IP, VLAN, QoS, RDMA, RoCE V2, DPDK
