Senior Design Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity for a Design Engineer to contribute to our Research & Development efforts in the field of dust & fume extraction and air control pollution equipment. The role offers a chance to work on innovative projects, collaborate with a dynamic team, and make a meaningful impact in improving environmental sustainability and workplace safety.

Responsibilities:

Product Design and Development:

• Utilize SolidWorks and AutoCAD software to design and develop cutting-edge dust & fume extraction and air control pollution equipment.
• Collaborate with the R&D team to translate conceptual ideas into detailed 3D models, assembly drawings, and technical specifications.
• Ensure designs meet industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements.

Sheet Metal Design:

• Create efficient and functional sheet metal designs for various components and enclosures of the equipment.
• Optimize designs for manufacturability, structural integrity, and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop detailed drawings with precise dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes.

Vendor Follow-up and BOM Management:

• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for the procurement of necessary materials and components.
• Maintain and update the bill of materials (BOM) with accurate and relevant information.

Assembly Drawing Creation:

• Prepare comprehensive assembly drawings, exploded views, and assembly instructions to guide the manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure smooth and efficient assembly of the equipment.
• Address design-related issues that may arise during the assembly process.

Product Concept Creation, NPD and ISO:

• Contribute to the development of innovative product concepts and solutions in the field of dust & fume extraction and air control pollution equipment.
• Conduct research, brainstorm ideas, and propose design improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive new product development (NPD) initiatives.
• ISO documentation for Research & Development (R&D) typically involves establishing and maintaining processes and procedures that align with ISO standards to ensure efficient and effective R&D operations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD for 3D modeling, assembly design, and detailed drawing creation.
• Strong knowledge and experience in sheet metal design, fabrication, and manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of engineering standards, materials, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• 6-10 years of relevant experience in research and development, product design, or similar roles.
