Monday - Friday, 10 am - 6 pm

Key Responsibilities:-

Design Development:

  • Conceptualize and create innovative, functional, and cost-effective school uniform designs (shirts, trousers, skirts, tunics, blazers, sweaters, etc.) that meet client and institutional requirements.
  • Develop variations based on school preferences, climate, and durability needs.

Fabric & Trims Selection:

  • Identify suitable fabrics, trims, and accessories ensuring comfort, durability, and compliance with budget.
  • Collaborate with sourcing teams to approve fabric swatches and trims for production.

Technical Specification & Sampling:

  • Prepare detailed size charts, and construction details for sampling and production.
  • Oversee sampling process, review prototypes, and provide corrections to pattern masters and vendors.

Customization & Branding:

  • Ensure correct placement and application of logos, embroidery, and school branding on uniforms.

Collaboration & Coordination:

  • Work closely with QC, production, and merchandising teams to ensure design intent is maintained during bulk production.

Trend & Market Research:

  • Stay updated on market trends in uniforms, focusing on comfort, safety, and durability.
  • Incorporate functional elements into designs.

Documentation & Compliance:

  • Maintain proper records of all design approvals, samples, and modifications.
  • Ensure designs comply with safety and fabric standards relevant to school-wear.

Candidate Profile:-

  • Experience:
    4–6 years in designing uniforms or corporate/institutional garments.
  • Education:
    Degree/Diploma in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or Textile Design.
  • Strong understanding of
    garment construction, pattern making,
    etc.
  • Proficiency in software like
    CorelDRAW, Illustrator, Photoshop
    .
  • Good sense of
    colour, fabric functionality, and comfort for children's wear
    .
  • Ability to manage multiple design projects and work within client timelines and budgets.
  • Effective communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Mumbai.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior work in
    garments segment
    .
  • Exposure to
    bulk production cycles and vendor interactions
    .
  • Knowledge of
    costing and fabric optimization for institutional orders
    .
