Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelors/ Masters in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related field.
  • Preferable 0-4 years of experience in power management, preferably in renewable or fuel cell systems.
  • Proficiency in simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, LTspice)
  • Battery Management System
  • Hybrid power management system

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with fuel cell stack designers to ensure electrical compatibility, power management and performance.
  • Sizing and selection of balance of plant, single/ bidirectional converters for hybrid systems integrating batteries or supercapacitors.
  • Create detailed electrical models of fuel cell stacks and power converters using MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, or PSIM.
  • Develop control algorithms for dynamic load handling and energy flow between fuel cells, storage, and loads.
  • Develop real-time control algorithms for converter operation under variable hydrogen flow, stack temperature, and load conditions.
  • Conduct hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and validation of converter prototypes under simulated fuel cell conditions.
  • Integrate fault detection, stack protection, and energy management strategies into firmware.
  • Ensure thermal management, insulation coordination, and creepage/clearance requirements for high-voltage systems.
