Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in Satara for a Fellow - Social Impact Design. The Fellow will be responsible for conducting user research, implementing design thinking methodologies, engaging in ethnographic research, and developing service design solutions. They will work closely with various stakeholders to design social impact initiatives that align with the organization's mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct field research, stakeholder interviews, and community engagement sessions to understand real-world problems.
Use design thinking methodologies to ideate, prototype, and test innovative solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., public policy, development, technology) to create user-centric interventions.
Develop visuals, wireframes, and design mockups that communicate ideas clearly and effectively.
Document the design process and outcomes through presentations, reports, or toolkits.
Facilitate design workshops and training sessions with partners or community members.
Contribute to the organization's larger mission by identifying areas where design can amplify impact.
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Social Innovation, Architecture, Urban Planning, Development Studies, or a related field.
Strong skills in human-centered design, UX/UI, or visual communication.
Prior experience in working on social impact, public service, or grassroots projects preferred.
Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to work in diverse, resource-constrained, or field-based settings.
