We are seeking an experienced and responsible OT In-Charge to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Operating Theatre. The OT In-Charge is responsible for supervising OT technicians and nursing staff, ensuring adherence to sterilization protocols, managing surgical schedules, and coordinating with surgeons and anesthetists for smooth workflow and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

  • Oversee all activities in the OT, including preparation, surgical assistance, and post-operative cleaning.
  • Maintain availability of surgical instruments, sterile supplies, and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control and sterilization protocols.
  • Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other departments to manage surgical case schedules efficiently.
  • Supervise the setup of the OT before each procedure and ensure proper turnover between surgeries.

Team Supervision & Training:

  • Supervise OT staff including nurses and technicians.
  • Prepare duty rosters and manage shift rotations.
  • Conduct training and orientation for new OT staff on procedures, safety protocols, and equipment use.
  • Address performance issues and conduct regular evaluations.

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain records related to OT procedures, equipment use, and inventory.
  • Ensure timely maintenance and calibration of OT equipment.
  • Participate in budgeting and procurement processes for OT supplies.
  • Ensure documentation for accreditation and audits is complete and up-to-date.
