Job Title: Production Support Engineer (with SQL) Role Overview: The Production Support Engineer is responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and availability of production systems and applications. This role involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues, collaborating with development and infrastructure teams, and maintaining system documentation. Key Responsibilities:- Monitor production systems and scheduled jobs using tools like Control-M, TWS, or similar.- Troubleshoot and resolve application and database issues in real-time.- Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, analysis, and issue resolution.- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes.- Manage incident, problem, and change management processes (ITIL framework).- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including developers, DBAs, and QA.- Participate in deployments, patching, and maintenance activities.- Maintain documentation for incidents, resolutions, and standard operating procedures.- Provide 24x7 support on a rotational basis, including on-call duties. Required Skills:- Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL (Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server).- Proficiency in Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting.- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana).- Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA, BMC Remedy).- Understanding of ITIL processes and service management.- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications:- Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.- Experience in BFSI, telecom, or healthcare domains.- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and automation tools
