Thisinvolves deep outbound research, leveraging founder / investor networks, attendingindustry conferences and events, reviewing business plans and pitch decks, andmonitoring industry news and trends.·       Investing: Basedon the due diligence - researching the industry, analysing the startup'sfinancials, and assessing the team's capabilities, the role holder shall makerecommendations to the senior team regarding whether to invest in the startup.This involves creating financial models and preparing investment memos topresent to the investment committee, in due course leading the deals and takefull ownership of the deals.·       Portfoliomanagement: The role holder also plays a key role in managing the firm'sexisting portfolio of investments. This involves working closely with portfoliocompanies to provide strategic guidance and support, and tracking theirprogress against key metrics, eventually manage the respective portfolio leads.·       Reporting: Therole holder is also responsible for preparing regular reports and updates forsenior management and investors on the performance of the portfolio companiesand the overall investment strategy of the firm.·       Networking: Therole Holder is expected to build and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs,other investors, and key industry players to stay informed on the latest trendsand opportunities.·       Sector Researchand Thought Leadership: Stay updated on the latest trends, innovations,and disruptions within the defined sector, and share insights with theinvestment team and the wider community through thought leadership pieces,presentations, and participation in industry events.·       TeamCollaboration: Collaborate with other members of the investment team tocollectively drive the firm's investment strategy, share insights, andcontribute to the growth of the overall VC ecosystem. Overall, this role holder plays a critical role in sourcing,evaluating, and managing potential investment opportunities, support in exits,and eventually lead the deals independently over a period of time. Mayalso involve fund raising role contributions support along with the deallead/fund raising leads, if required.
