2. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR to drive regional HR works across our retail operations of Karnataka region (80+ outlets, which includes Company & Franchisee operated).

Ideal candidate should have proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders in complex environments. This role goes beyond typical HR operational tasks; it involves driving initiatives and managing dynamic processes with different kind of people behaviors, to enable the business success from HR front.

  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

    Responsible for recruiting frontline managers, including Store Managers and key positions, across both Company and Franchisee outlets within a targeted turnaround time (TAT) of 30 days. This involves proactive lead generation through market visits, competitor retail analysis, building strong professional networks, and maintaining an updated candidate database. Coordinate closely with various stakeholders for interview scheduling, internal transfers, and multi-level approvals to ensure seamless recruitment. Oversee smooth onboarding, induction, and orientation processes for new hires across all stores.
  • Payroll & HR Operations

    Support accurate and timely payroll processing by collaborating with Operations and Central Corporate HR teams. Manage regional attendance regularization to ensure smooth monthly payroll cycles. Maintain comprehensive employee records and ensure timely documentation and compliance with HR policies.
  • Employee Engagement & Retention

    Drive employee engagement initiatives aligned with corporate objectives to enhance employee satisfaction and reduce attrition. Focus on business-driven, performance-oriented strategies by integrating multiple business data points and ensuring consistent communication across various channels. These initiatives aim to minimize disengagement and strengthen retention across Company and Franchisee store operations.
  • Statutory Compliance

    Ensure full compliance with all applicable labor laws and statutory requirements relevant to retail operations. Manage audits efficiently and maintain accurate statutory documentation and records
  • Performance Management

    Support the quarterly Performance Management System (PMS) cycle using the Darwin Box HRMS platform. Assist employees and managers in goal setting, self-assessments, appraisals, and development planning to foster continuous employee growth.
  • HR MIS & Reporting

    Prepare, analyze, and present detailed HR MIS reports for weekly and monthly management reviews. Track key HR metrics, including recruitment, attrition, manpower cost, and outlet sales productivity, using MS Office tools such as Excel and PowerPoint to facilitate timely, data-driven decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Management

    Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with regional operations teams by balancing ethical considerations, business needs, and people management. Effectively coordinate recruitment, onboarding, payroll, employee engagement, statutory compliance, PMS, and HR MIS activities to support organizational goals.

  • Industry Background: Ideally from the retail industry, though not mandatory. Must possess a deep understanding of retail or service operations (excluding product operations background).
  • Experience: Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders in complex environments. This role goes beyond typical HR operational tasks; it involves driving initiatives and managing dynamic processes with different kind of people behaviors.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in Kannada and English is essential.
