Job Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced Plumbing & Firefighting Engineer with 15+ years of expertise in MEP consultancy. The ideal candidate will lead and manage a team of engineers and draughtsmen, ensuring the department runs efficiently while delivering high-quality, innovative, and compliant design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers and draughtsmen in the Plumbing & Firefighting division.
  • Oversee design development, drawings, and technical documentation for plumbing and firefighting systems in line with national and international codes/standards.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (HVAC, Electrical, Structural, and Architects) for integrated project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, NBC, NFPA, and other relevant codes.
  • Review and approve design calculations, material specifications, and BOQs.
  • Provide technical expertise in value engineering and design optimization.
  • Monitor project timelines, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct technical presentations, client meetings, and resolve design-related queries.
  • Ensure continuous improvement and innovation within the department.

Key Requirements

  • Education: B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering (must).
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years in Plumbing & Firefighting design with reputed MEP consultancy firms.
  • Proven ability to lead, guide, and grow a team of engineers and draughtsmen.
  • Strong knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and relevant hydraulic calculation tools.
  • Excellent understanding of international codes (NFPA, ASHRAE, IPC, NBC, BIS standards).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client-handling skills.
  • Work Experience in similar design firms
