We train local eye care providers and develop self-sustaining eye programs around the world. Together we provide critical eye care to underserved communities, especially women, children, and Indigenous peoples. Seva has helped 5 million blind people regain their sight in more than 20 countries.About the RoleSeva Foundation expands access to eye care by scaling up the training and use of ophthalmic support staff and developing sustainable programs in collaboration with our partner hospitals. This creates jobs for local women and men and stimulates the economy in their communities.Seva conducts live in-person and online blended training workshops (Micro-skilling initiatives) for eye care professionals around the world (doctors, nurses, technicians, managers, administrators and other hospital staff) to ensure they deliver high-quality eye care at minimal cost to patients in underserved communities.Seva is looking for a Consultant, Learning Management System (LMS) Associate with a flair for e-learning technologies and fluency in English. Experience in Healthcare or the Education Sector and a willingness to learn and implement competency-based training experience for Eye Care Health workers is required. This position is responsible for the support, implementation, delivery, and maintenance of training content, assets, and other resources used for instructional functions.The LMS Associate plays a key role in supporting InSight, Seva's e-learning platform, and enabling our global team to actively engage 2,000 to 5,000 e-learners and certify Knowledge Champions (local trainers) across partner hospitals in the next 5 years. This role helps us deliver impactful training programs online, track progress, share results with donors and leadership, and support our global partner hospitals in strengthening their workforce.The LMS Associate will report to Seva's Global Head, Training. This is a one-year full-time (40 hours a week) contractual engagement and will include weekly deliverables. Based on the performance the contract may be extended. This is a work from home opportunity, and the selected candidate needs to have a PC/Laptop with strong internet connectivity (4G with >50 Mbps speed) and electric power back up for attending live online training sessions.Below are the key deliverables and responsibilities which may be revised during this contract by mutual agreement.Key Deliverables1. Identify & Manage 200+ Knowledge ChampionsIdentify, train, and engage 200 high-potential professionals from Seva's network of partner hospitals as certified local trainers ("Knowledge Champions"), with the goal of empowering them to cascade training to a minimum of 10 and up to 100 additional eye care professionals or community stakeholders.Deliverable: Knowledge Champions to train 2,000 second-level learners by the end of year and continue to scale in upcoming years.2. Digital Learning Impact and Peer EngagementImprove Seva's LMS-based self-paced learning by achieving at least 50% average course completion across all digital learning programs, 30% certification/credentialing rate among completers, and piloting learner-led engagement (e.g., testimonials, peer reviews, or student-created content) in at least 3 courses, tracked using basic LMS analytics.Deliverable: e-Learners complete at least one self-paced short course on Seva's InSight platform.Core Responsibilitiese-Learner Onboarding & Support (10% of weekly effort - 4 hours a week)● User life cycle management: Create user accounts. Add, Remove, Deactivate accounts.● Assign users to team(s), Assign course(s) or learning path(s)● Send nudges after high-impact training. Gather user feedback and training impact data.eLearning Content Management (20% of weekly effort - 4-8 hours a week)● Use Content Authoring Tool on Seva's InSight LMS Platform to curate and/or create content for users aligned to the World Health Organization's Eye Care Competency Framework.● Upload Learning objectives, course descriptors, summary, videos, slides, quizzes, mind maps and other assets● Issue course completion certificates, discussion forum posts, nudges, and boostsOnline Training Coordination (20% of weekly effort - 8 hours a week)● Support live or blended training (Zoom logistics, reminders, recording sessions)● Schedule and calendar training events, online and in-person.● Manage pre-training, during training and post training activities, such as sending invitations, participant registrations, and sending polls and quizzes.Certification and Credentialing (10% of weekly effort - 4 hours a week)● Automatically generate and send course certificates after completion● Award digital badges to learners who meet set criteria● Create Gamification and Leaderboards using skill badges and experience pointsTraining Data & Reporting (10% of weekly effort - 4 hours a week)● Submit monthly and quarterly reports using Seva's training report template● Share learner engagement numbers, quiz scores, completion rates, and more● Send reports to stakeholders like executive summary reports of training events, webinars and online courses, feedback reports, and knowledge assessment reports.MEAL Integration (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning) (10% effort)● Ensure each training monitors: Attendance (Level 0), Learner feedback (Level 1), Pre- and post-training quiz results (Level 2)Knowledge Champion Tracking (10% of weekly effort - 4 hours a week)● Support the certification of local trainers● Track their monthly progress as they each train or teach back 10–100 peers● Collect "cascade logs" showing how many others they taught.
