The opportunity

Aligned with the sustainable growth strategy within the High Voltage Products Business and as part of our SCM Supplier Quality Transformation strategy, the New SQ PMO department has been established to centralize and optimize the management of the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP). SQE's play a major role in implementing the PPAP process with global supplier base.

How you'll make an impact ​

  • Follow the PPAP procedure, implement the Production Part Approval Process gate model during the Part qualification

  • Ensure that the assigned PPAP demands are fulfilled with accuracy  

  • Lead, manage, execute and complete the part qualification at the suppliers for the identified parts / projects with right quality on time

  • Collaborate with key stake holders like GPS, R&D, TC, SCM category managers, Buyers to get the inputs and drive the part qualification

  • Work closely with the Global / Regional Supply Quality teams, Third party supplier quality Engineers and suppliers on the part qualification

  • Organize Internal kick-off meetings and supplier kick-off meetings

  • Progress on the PPAP's in full alignment with stakeholders

  • Regularize the PPAP's in the PLM system and SAP Reiwa system

  • Act as a project Manager to complete the PPAP's to meet business needs

  • Update the necessary inputs so that the performance can be seen in the dashboards

  • Resolve conflicts proactively and if needed escalate, seek help from leadership or Management to ensure progress is on track

  • Support in establishing required communication & training material

  • Be a team player and to collaborate without silos.

  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering / production engineering

  • 7 to 10 years of Experience in Power Grid, Automotive, Aerospace or any manufacturing industry

  • Certified Welding Inspector / Engineer. NDT Level II certification will be added advantage.

  • Manufacturing process knowledge and experience working in Supply chain, Supplier Quality, Supplier Development functions in a manufacturing environment or in a Global role

  • Hands on experience on Part qualifications / PPAP management and its deployment by working with suppliers

  • Hands on experience in working with Windchill or any other PLM system

  • Ability to read and digest technical drawings and specifications (ISO documents, FMEA, Control plans, international standards etc.)

  • Capable to work independently under challenging projects

  • Strong analytical skills, especially with data analysis, experience in developing dashboards / reports in Power BI is highly desired

  • Good communication, and presentation skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to network across the teams and to mentor the team members

  • Flexibility to travel (~20%)
