Senior Engineer- Quality Assurance

Role & responsibilities

  1. Lead and manage the Incoming Quality team, Supervise, train, and mentor a team of Quality Control inspectors.5. Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve components quality.

  2. Conduct audits to identify and address any non-conformances in the Forging and machining operations.

  3. Validate and optimize Sheetmetal processes to meet product quality requirements.

  4. Perform root cause analysis on Quality failures or discrepancies in Forging and machining and lead corrective actions.

  5. Collaborate with suppliers to resolve Quality issues and improve components Quality.

  6. Prepare and present regular Quality reports to senior management, highlighting issues, solutions, and improvements.

  7. Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in Forging and machining Quality, focusing on reducing defects and enhancing efficiency.

  8. Implement best practices and industry standards in Forging and machining Quality management.

  9. Stay updated with relevant standards and ensure company compliance.

  10. Ensure proper documentation and control of all Quality System Procedures, Work Instructions, and Process Control Plans.

  11. Interface with suppliers for Quality issues, resolve complaints through structured CAPA.

  12. Planning and organizing Quality requirements to meet customer specifications and deadlines.

  13. Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, GD&T, & 7QC tools.

  14. Monitor & Improve Internal PPM, Supplier PPM & Customer PPM.

  15. Knowledge of Diesel Engine Forging & Machining Parts cand Heat treatment processes & Special Processes, Etc.

  16. Conduct the PPAP audit for the New development, Alternative source & Localization parts and prepare the documents.

  17. Hands on experience of CMM, Contour tester, and other precision Quality instruments.

  18. Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making.1
