Role Summary:The Senior Application Engineer will be responsible for Global Nuclear Products, is expected to work closely along with FPD's global teams of Application Engineers, Product Leaders, Engineering, Sales, and Operations to support and drive Flowserve's achievement of the FPD Nuclear Strategy.  It is a technical and commercial position, involving focused attention on a specific subset of Flowserve products for use in Nuclear Power Station Applications.ESSENTIAL ELEMENTSPrepare strategic proposals and pro-actively support the preparation for nuclear power market application pumps in response to requests for quotation in accordance with sales strategies in a timely, complete and accurate manner. Act as the subject matter expert for Nuclear Product lines and nuclear plant BOP applications. Support Sales to achieve the followingValidation alignment of hydraulic selection and sourcing strategy to meet project specific requirements (per Hydraulic Review Request process).Lead requests to achieve appropriate Engineering approval (Technical Risk Assessment process)Provide support in review of specifications and development of responses to technical questionsGuide internal discussions related to Market Level PricingMeet with customers as needed to discuss product features and benefits, differentiation and value added solutions. Interact with Internal Product Leadership team to achieve the following:Support regularly scheduled product reports/meetings with Organization LeadershipValidate information related to Reference Material and eCPQ toolsLead quotation activity for newly launched related productWork with Product Leadership to track and maintain regional Market Level PricingSupport in the development and performance of product & industry specific trainingDevelop and track Market Level Pricing basis win/loss data, develop in-depth knowledge of regional competitive landscape, and understanding of project strategy.Support in the development of SMR customer supply agreements including benchmarking activitiesWork closely with Operations and Project Management to properly support the resolution of product specific issues occurring during order fulfillment.Interpret customer requirements and process conditions to identify optimum solutions and pump recommendations for pump applications in the new Small Modular Reactor market.SECONDARY ELEMENTSParticipate in problem solving & other work continuous improvement teams to enhance our proposal tools & Commercial Operations processes to improve win rate, on-time performance, cycle time, cost of quality & customer service survey metrics. Also Perform other related duties as required or directed by management.SKILLS Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with all facets of the organization.Possess enhanced mechanical and commercial aptitude.Meet established due dates by maintaining efficiency and time management practices.Act as a pro-active catalyst for smooth collaboration of all teams participated on.Engineering Graduate in Mechanical, Industrial Production with > 7 years of relevant experience.
