Magento E-commerce Manager
to act as the bridge between our internal business team and our external development vendor.

Role Overview

The Magento E-commerce Manager will be responsible for
coordinating, managing, and overseeing
all development and technical activities on Awnopy's Magento platform. This person will ensure
timely delivery, cost efficiency, and quality assurance
, while also troubleshooting and resolving basic issues directly. The ideal candidate will combine
Magento expertise, project management skills, and vendor coordination experience
to help us scale quickly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the
    primary liaison
    between Awnopy's business team and the external Magento development vendor.
  • Translate business requirements into
    technical specifications
    and oversee execution.
  • Review and validate
    cost estimates, proposals, and project timelines
    from vendors.
  • Troubleshoot and fix minor issues
    in Magento directly to avoid unnecessary delays.
  • Supervise
    new feature rollouts, enhancements, and bug fixes
    .
  • Ensure site compliance with
    U.S. e-commerce standards
    (SEO, ADA compliance, site speed, multi-currency, tax settings, payment integrations).
  • Conduct
    QA and testing
    to verify vendor output before go-live.
  • Track and report
    project progress, risks, and costs
    to management.
  • Research and recommend
    Magento extensions, APIs, and integrations
    to support international expansion.

Candidate Profile

Experience:

  • 5–8 years of
    hands-on Magento (2.x) experience
    , with a focus on the U.S. e-commerce market.
  • Proven record of
    managing third-party vendors and development projects
    .
  • Prior experience in
    international e-commerce rollouts
    is highly desirable.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of
    Magento architecture, modules, and extensions
    .
  • Ability to
    debug and resolve basic Magento issues
    independently.
  • Knowledge of
    front-end (HTML/CSS/JS)
    and
    back-end (PHP/MySQL)
    fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with
    performance optimization, SEO, analytics, and security best practices
    .
