About the Role

We are looking for an experienced engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance real-time communication systems. You will own the signaling, media handling, and session control layers that power global voice services. This role is highly technical and requires deep expertise in VoIP protocols and platforms.

What Youll Do

Design, implement, and operate carrier-grade real-time voice platforms.

Build and maintain systems using Freeswitch, Kamailio, and RTP Engine, integrated with modern APIs.

Own the SIP signaling flows, media handling, and session management for large-scale deployments.

Optimize for performance, call quality, and security across cloud and datacenter environments.

Collaborate with SRE and Product teams to ensure reliability, observability, and fast feature delivery.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in live production systems.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong hands-on experience with:

o SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) signaling, troubleshooting, debugging

o Freeswitch core telephony functions, call routing, conferencing, IVR

o API development and service integration

Solid understanding of real-time communication systems and VoIP architecture.

Experience working in high-availability, carrier-grade environments.

Preferred Skills

Kamailio SIP routing, load balancing, scaling

RTP Engine media proxy, NAT traversal, SRTP, transcoding

Python or Go scripting and backend services

Nice to Have

Knowledge of SBCs, NAT traversal, QoS, and SRTP

Familiarity with cloud and on-prem hybrid deployments

Background in telecom, CPaaS, or unified communications
