Job Description:

To lead the quality management function across project sites and ensure implementation of quality systems, compliance with standards and specifications, and resolution of quality issues throughout the project lifecycle, especially in solar EPC or infrastructure-based projects.

Quality Planning & Execution Develop, plan, and implement the site-specific Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) in line with project specifications, standards, and contractual requirements. Organize and oversee implementation of quality control procedures across all phases of the project.

Audits & Compliance

Conduct periodic quality audits at project sites and the corporate office to ensure adherence to defined processes. Analyze observations and NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) to streamline workflows and implement corrective actions. Ensure timely closure of audit findings and continuous process improvements. Testing Equipment & Laboratory Setup

Ensure all testing and measuring instruments at sites are calibrated with valid certification. Develop and maintain a "Typical QA/QC Laboratory Equipment Setup" tailored to solar power plant requirements.

Vendor Quality & Product Inspection. Prepare and implement MQPs (Manufacturer Quality Plans) and QAPs for vendor product inspections.

Verify vendor compliance with applicable IEC, BIS, and other statutory standards.

Coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and In-Process Quality Control (IPQC) at vendor premises for all incoming and bought-out items.

Quality Documentation & Process Control

Develop quality checklists, inspection formats, and process flow diagrams for site execution activities.

Implement ISO documentation standards and conduct internal audits in line with the organization's quality management system.

Site Quality & Issue Resolution

Proactively address and resolve site-level quality issues in coordination with engineering, execution, and vendor teams.

Ensure quality compliance during testing and commissioning phases of the project.

Track and resolve O&M or client complaints related to quality matters.

Review & Coordination

Conduct monthly quality review meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

Monitor and ensure timely closure of action points from review meetings.

Ensure cross-functional coordination with design, procurement, project execution, and safety teams.

Resource & Safety Management

Plan and manage QA/QC manpower and material resources efficiently across project locations.

Ensure adherence to safety standards and protocols during quality-related activities.

Policy Compliance

Ensure all quality activities are in strict compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.
