Job Description

As a Manager at Lupin Limited, positioned within the Mechanical (Unit I) division at our Pithampur facility, you will take the helm of our engineering operations, spanning the Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation domains. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the seamless functioning and reliability of pharmaceutical process equipment used in both formulation and active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) production processes.

You will be responsible for the strategic oversight and execution of both preventive and breakdown maintenance activities, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal equipment performance. This will involve coordinating comprehensive maintenance schedules and rapidly responding to emerging issues to safeguard production timelines.

Documentation is critical in our highly regulated environment. You will manage and maintain accurate records pertaining to engineering deviations, Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), Quality Risk Management (QRM), and Critical Control Points (CCP), as well as lead the administration of engineering-related change controls. This responsibility demands a meticulous approach to maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

In addition, you will regularly review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to promote a culture of safety and operational excellence. Ensuring that all procedures reflect current best practices and regulatory expectations will be integral to your role.

Leading a dynamic, cross-functional engineering team, you will collaborate closely with other departments such as Quality Assurance, Production, and Supply Chain to foster a unified approach to operational efficiency and continuous improvement. Your leadership will extend to mentoring and developing team members, helping to build their technical competencies and promoting a culture of learning and professional growth.

This role requires a leader who is technically adept, highly organized, and capable of driving engineering excellence in a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Your contributions will directly impact Lupin Limited's commitment to delivering high-quality pharmaceutical products safely and efficiently.

Work Experience

The ideal candidate will bring 15 to 18 years of progressive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong focus on maintenance management and engineering operations within manufacturing settings. Experience should include hands-on expertise in mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems relevant to pharmaceutical processing. Prior leadership roles managing multidisciplinary teams and interfacing with cross-functional departments are highly valued.

A demonstration of strong knowledge of regulatory compliance standards, maintenance strategies, and quality management systems will distinguish the candidate. Proven track records in managing documentation for CAPA, deviation handling, and engineering change controls are essential. Experience mentoring and developing technical teams to enhance capabilities and performance will be considered a significant advantage.
