Role & responsibilities

1. Product Engineering:

  • Evaluate product for manufacturing feasibility.
  • Understand product requirements from client.
  • Preparation of E-BOM
  • Technical specification review with CFT for new development.
  • Evaluate product design and suggest improvements to meet the requirements.
  • Prepare BOM and process flow for the product.
  • GD&T requirement study and Checking fixture conformance to it.
  • Tolerance actualization and proposals.

2. Project Execution

  • Attend product trials and ensure output product in terms of function, weight, quality etc
  • Ensure product milestones like grain mapping, AAR approval, FTR, PTR, build concerns etc.
  • Review CF design evaluation and measurement.
  • Support Build activities and meet build objectives for VP, PP and SOP.
  • Support mockups, proto, 3D scan, CMM activities.

3. Data management

  • Maintaining data tracking.
  • Releasing data to tool design, gauges, assembly fixtures suppliers.
  • Managing 2D drawing and BOP drawings requirements.
  • ECN tracking and data release for ECN.
  • Mold flow report study and data release.

4. Team Management

  • Cascading activities through organization matrix and CFT
  • Determine individual training needs and development plans to build expertise and enhance skills
  • Supporting R&D department initiatives.
  • Knowledge sharing and competency development with team

5. Organization Initiatives

  • Support organization level activities like tech shows, Product gallery etc.
  • Follow VDS process, IATF and ensure Audit readiness.
  • Customer interfacing and support for all running programs.
  • Maintaining work culture, ethics and follow safety guidelines.

6. Plant Support

  • Support handover activities to plant and ensure readiness.
  • Provide training and guidance for assembly procedures.
  • Identifying actual bottle necks during trial runs and providing corrective actions.
  • Attend to production line issues during development cycle and support with remedies and execution.
  • Support audit meeting and documentation.
  • Support NPD with product delivery during development phase.
  • Support VAVE, KAIZEN etc activities
