Farmer Relationship Manager

Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and onboard certified organic farmers and FPOs for key fruit and vegetable categories.
- Verify organic certifications and ensure documentation is valid and up to date.
- Build long-term trust-based relationships with farmer groups to ensure consistent supply and mutual growth.
- Work with the quality and compliance teams to audit and validate farming practices regularly.
- Coordinate procurement planning based on store/e-commerce demand and seasonality.
- Ensure transparent pricing agreements, farmer payments, and fair trade practices.
- Assist farmers with post-harvest handling, grading, packing, and logistics coordination.
- Organize farmer workshops, training on organic practices, and supply chain understanding.
- Visit farms regularly to maintain field-level visibility and accountability.
- Maintain a database of farmers, certification status, acreage, crop cycles, and contact points.
- Bridge communication between field teams, warehouse, and sales for smooth produce flow.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture / Horticulture / Agri-Business / Rural Management
- 1–5 years of experience in organic farmer engagement or FPO sourcing
- Knowledge of organic certification systems is a must
- Passion for sustainable farming and direct farm sourcing models
- Fluent in regional languages.
- Willing to travel extensively to rural farm locations
- Basic reporting skills via Excel/Google Sheets
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹20, ₹25,000.00 per month
