About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounts team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Tally ERP, MS Excel, and financial reporting, with the ability to manage day-to-day accounting operations, statutory compliances, and internal audits. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial integrity and operational excellence of a growing educational institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting functions including entries, reconciliations, and ledger maintenance.
  • Prepare and verify financial statements, income, and expenditure reports.
  • Handle vendor payments, receipts, and ensure proper documentation.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable management.
  • Ensure timely GST, TDS, and other statutory filings.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
  • Maintain accurate records in Tally ERP and prepare analytical reports in MS Excel.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and expense monitoring activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial transparency and compliance.

Desired Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in Tally ERP (mandatory).
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, MIS reports).
  • Strong analytical and numerical abilities.
  • Knowledge of taxation, accounting standards, and statutory compliance.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in education, service, or corporate sectors.
  • Prior experience in managing accounts independently will be an added advantage.
