Role & responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and supervise preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance schedules for bottling, filling, packaging, and utility equipment.
  • Ensure the smooth functioning of critical machinery including blow molding, fillers, cappers, conveyors, pasteurizers, boilers, chillers, compressors, and water treatment systems.
  • Lead and develop the maintenance team of engineers and technicians to achieve efficiency, safety, and minimal downtime.
  • Coordinate with production and quality teams to maintain hygiene and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) in all maintenance activities.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and liaise with vendors for timely procurement of critical spares.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) of breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor and control maintenance costs within allocated budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with FSSAI, ISO, HACCP, and other statutory requirements related to plant equipment and safety.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), Lean, and Kaizen to enhance efficiency and reduce breakdowns.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate reports of maintenance performance, breakdown history, and equipment reliability.
  • Ensure safety standards are strictly followed during maintenance operations.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Strong technical expertise in beverage production equipment and utilities.
  • Knowledge of automation, PLC, SCADA systems used in beverage plants.
  • Sound understanding of GMP, hygiene, and safety practices in the food & beverage industry.
  • Team management and leadership skills with hands-on problem-solving ability.
  • Strong analytical skills for breakdown analysis and cost control.
  • Proficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
