About The Role

  • The CMM Operator is responsible for the operation and programming of Coordinate Measuring Machines to ensure precision measurement of parts and components.
  • This role involves interpreting technical drawings and specifications to verify the dimensional accuracy of products.
  • You will play a key role in quality assurance, conducting inspections to meet industry standards and customer expectations.

You Are Responsible For

  • Setting up and calibrating CMM equipment for precise measurements.
  • Conducting routine inspections and maintaining accurate documentation of measurement results.
  • Reporting any non-conformance or deviations in product specifications to the relevant departments for corrective action.

To succeed in this role – you should have the following:

  • Proficiency in operating CMM machines and familiarity with measurement software.
  • Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to effectively analyze measurement data and identify potential issues.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or quality assurance environment is preferred.
