About This Role
Materials Experience Design team is currently seeking an associate designer to join us and help deliver design as a service for our clients.

The ideal candidate must be a full stack designer, one who can work across the spectrum of user-centered design deliverables, from research to storytelling, prototyping, testing, and product evolution. Deeply rooted in heuristics with a stylish bent of mind reflecting in their designs, this person will be responsible for delivering great experiences with every interaction.

This role will involve knowledge of Design Thinking, Service Design, Design Research, and Strategy. You must have a body of work reflecting on the above to show in your portfolio. The ability to work with analytics expertise throughout the design and development process to run studies and experiments, analyze the findings, and validate potential product or service changes to support go to market will be appreciated.

What Youll Do

• Work at the intersection of data, technology, and design to deliver consistently better experiences for our clients.
• Creation of personas, user journeys, concepts, storyboards, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and other artifacts enabling design and delivery of digital products and services.
• Develop responsive interfaces that align with brand guidelines and enhance the overall aesthetics of our applications.
• Display a high degree of design rigor and finesse in the work you do, be it creation of a deck or creation of a digital experience.
• Stay updated on the latest design tools and best practices in UI/UX design.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or masters in interaction design, cognitive science, Human Computer Interaction (HCI), anthropology, psychology, or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of proven experience as a UI/UX designer, showcasing a strong portfolio of relevant work.
• 2 years of proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Illustrator).
• Solid understanding of user-centered design methodologies.
• Knowledge of responsive design principles for various platforms such as web, mobile, and desktop.
• Experience with user research and usability testing.
• Familiarity with front and back-end development concepts and limitations to effectively communicate with developers.
• Knowledge of WCAG guidelines and a stance on accessibility.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be self-directed, deadline-oriented, and have experience working in a remote agile development environment.
