We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong experience in Playwright for end-to-end UI automation. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and performance of our web applications through robust test automation frameworks, integration into CI/CD pipelines, and collaboration with development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust Playwright-based UI automation frameworks.
• Write and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA analysts to understand requirements and translate them into test plans and cases.
• Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies.
• Develop and maintain test data and test environments.
• Perform root cause analysis and debugging of failed tests.
• Advocate for testability and quality across the software development lifecycle.
• Continuously improve automation coverage, test efficiency, and reporting.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience as an SDET or Automation Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript or Python).
• Proficiency in writing test cases using BDD/TDD methodologies.
• Solid understanding of web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP, REST APIs.
• Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha, PyTest).
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Experience integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with other automation tools (e.g., Cypress, Selenium, Puppeteer).
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, k6).
• Experience in API testing using tools like Postman or REST Assured.
• Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• ISTQB or other QA/testing certifications.
