Role & responsibilities

Drive the demand planning strategy to ensure accurate forecasts that align with business objectives. Lead cross-functional collaboration to convert market insights into reliable demand plans, optimizing inventory and customer service. Manage and develop the demand planning team, fostering continuous improvement and best practice adoption. Closely liaise with Sales & Logistics team to reduce SLOBs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve forecast accuracy.

Key Deliverable

Lead development of a data-driven demand forecasts integrating multiple data sources to support strategic planning.

Design dynamic demand plans incorporating promotions, lifecycle, and market trends for SKU-level supply chain alignment.

Drive rigorous forecast accuracy analysis with continuous improvement initiatives using advanced analytic tools.

Facilitate integrated business planning meetings to align cross-functional stakeholders and reconcile demand-supply gaps.

Oversee inventory optimization balancing service levels and working capital through scenario planning and constraint modelling.

Process enhancements and technology adoption, embedding best practices and automation in demand planning workflows.

Build and mentor a high-performing team fostering analytical rigor, collaboration, and innovation.

Develop demand risk mitigation strategies to ensure supply chain resilience against market volatility.

Provide strategic insights supporting product launches, market expansions, and promotional planning.

Deliver executive-level reports and presentations driving informed, data-backed decision-making.

Preferred candidate profile

Education

a. UG: Any Graduate(mandatory) preferably B.E/Mathematics/Statistics

b. PG: MBA/PGDM in Any Specialization(preferable)

Professional certifications (Preferred)

Demand Driven Planner (DDP), or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) are advantageous.

Experience

1.

812 years of progressive experience in demand planning or supply chain

2.

Proven track record leading teams and improving forecast accuracy in complex, fast-paced settings.

3.

Extensive cross-functional collaboration with sales, marketing, finance, and operations for integrated business planning.

4.

Proficient in advanced demand planning tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle Demantra) and data analytics platforms.

5.

Experience managing large-scale forecasting for multi-product, multi-market businesses, preferably in FMCG, manufacturing, retail, or pharma.

6.

Skilled in change management, process optimization, and implementing new technologies.

7.

Strong stakeholder management with experience presenting to senior leadership and executives.

8.

Experience in risk mitigation and contingency planning related to supply chain demand fluctuations.
