About the Role

Our client is seeking a
User Researcher
who is passionate about uncovering user needs, behaviors, and motivations. In this role, you will collaborate with UX Designers, Instructional Designers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to plan and conduct user research, analyze data, and communicate actionable insights. Your work will directly shape the design of user-friendly, effective, and delightful products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit participants for usability studies and research projects using organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Plan, lead, and conduct a variety of research methods (e.g., moderated/unmoderated usability tests, interviews, focus groups, surveys, prototype testing, A/B testing, card sorting, SED testing).
  • Write scripts and testing protocols, collaborating with senior colleagues when needed.
  • Lead
    journey mapping sessions
    with product and cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with UX and Instructional Designers to set up and execute usability tests.
  • Conduct virtual client visits for observational studies and user testing.
  • Work with UI Designers and stakeholders to identify research needs and align objectives.
  • Perform validation usability testing to measure whether new features and enhancements meet business goals and user needs.
  • Analyze research findings and translate them into actionable, prioritized recommendations.
  • Present insights and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear, engaging way.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's/Associate degree or certification in
    HCI, Human Factors, Psychology, Sociology, Usability
    , or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience

  • 3+ years of
    user experience research
    or related field.
  • Experience in
    healthcare
    (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Exposure to
    Agile development
    (preferred but not mandatory).

Skills

  • Strong listening skills with the ability to be empathetic toward participants.
  • Skilled in writing unbiased, open-ended usability questions.
  • Ability to share data-driven recommendations and deliver impactful feedback.
  • Hands-on experience with

    or similar research platforms.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Strong understanding of user research methods, tools, and techniques.
  • Ability to independently and collaboratively plan, execute, and analyze research projects.
  • Strong ability to interpret data and present actionable insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
