- Job Overview. We are seeking a talented and experienced Piping Design Engineer to join our team at AVIS Enertech Pvt Limited. As a Piping Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing piping systems and components for various projects in the Oil and Gas industry. This is a mid-level position, requiring 4 to 6 years of experience in piping design and engineering. The job is based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India and is a full-time employment opportunity.
- Qualifications And Skills. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 4 to 6 years of experience in piping design and engineering. Proficiency in 2D and 3D design software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Bentley AutoPIPE. In-depth knowledge of piping design codes and standards, such as ASME B31.3, ASME B31.4, and ASME B31.8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize tasks. Knowledge of process engineering principles and equipment specifications. Understanding of fabrication and construction techniques for piping systems. Roles And Responsibilities. Design and develop piping systems and components for various projects in the Oil and Gas industry. Prepare detailed piping layout drawings, including isometrics and bill of materials. Collaborate with the project team to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards. Perform piping stress analysis and recommend design modifications as necessary. Review and approve vendor drawings and documents. Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and provide technical support to the construction team. Participate in project meetings and provide input on design issues. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards throughout the design process.
