About the Role

We are seeking an
experienced and highly skilled Lead Electrical Engineer
to join our
Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC)
division.

This role is pivotal in leading
electrical engineering activities for large-scale industrial and infrastructure projects
— from
concept and design
to
procurement, construction, and commissioning
.

The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of delivering complex EPC projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Execution

• Lead all electrical engineering activities across design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Drive adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and budget targets.

Design & Technical Excellence

• Review and approve detailed electrical drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Ensure designs comply with NEC, IEC, ANSI, and other relevant standards.

Team Leadership & Mentorship

• Lead, mentor, and guide a team of electrical engineers and designers.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, learning, and technical excellence.

Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration

• Work closely with mechanical, civil, instrumentation, and structural teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and contractors for effective project delivery.

Procurement & Vendor Management

• Define technical specifications, evaluate vendor proposals, and support equipment selection.
• Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure compliance and quality in equipment sourcing.

Construction & Commissioning Oversight

• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems at project sites.
• Proactively resolve technical issues and ensure safety and quality compliance.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Uphold high standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Implement and promote best practices in electrical engineering and documentation.

Risk & Issue Management

• Identify and mitigate electrical-related project risks.
• Troubleshoot design and execution challenges effectively.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate and complete project documentation, schematics, and reports.
• Ensure readiness for audits, client handover, and maintenance support.

Client Communication & Engagement

• Serve as the technical point of contact for clients, providing updates, guidance, and recommendations throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred).

Experience:

• 10–15 years of experience in electrical engineering within EPC projects.
• At least 5 years in a senior or lead engineering role.

Technical Expertise:

• Strong knowledge of NEC, IEC, ANSI, and related standards.
• Proficient in low and medium voltage systems, switchgear, MCCs, grounding, and protection schemes.
• Skilled in power system studies (load flow, short circuit, relay coordination, etc.).

Software Proficiency:

• Expertise in
  ETAP
  for electrical analysis and simulation.
• Experience with
  EPLAN
  ,
  AutoCAD Electrical
  , and
  SKM PowerTools
  .
• Familiarity with project management and ERP tools is a plus.

Soft Skills:

• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and client relationships effectively.

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
