About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation Engineer with hands-on expertise in Siemens PCS 7 to design, implement, maintain, and optimize process instrumentation and distributed control systems across our manufacturing operations. The role ensures compliance, process reliability, data integrity, and operational excellence in a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

PCS 7 / Automation

  • Engineer who can troubleshoot and program modifications in Siemens PCS 7 projects (CFC/SCADA, SFC, AS/OS configuration, WinCC, Batch if applicable).
  • Develop and manage control logic, interlocks, sequencing and alarms; maintain version control and documentation.
  • Implement change management (MOC) and follow GxP/GAMP 5 validation practices where applicable.
  • Integrate PCS 7 with instrumentation, MCCs, VFDs, packages, and fieldbus (PROFIBUS/PROFINET) communications.

Instrumentation

  • Specify, install, calibrate, and maintain process instruments: flow, pressure, temperature, level, pH/DO, conductivity, weigh scales, control valves, positioners, analyzers.
  • Develop and maintain P&IDs, instrument index, datasheets, loop diagrams, I/O lists, cable schedules, and calibration plans.
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation/controls issues, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective/preventive actions.

Reliability & Operations

  • Drive preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to reduce downtime; own critical spares strategy.
  • Support batch execution (if PCS 7 Batch), recipe deployment, golden batch targets, and data integrity (audit trails, backup/restore). Experience
  • 58+ years in instrumentation and process control within pharma/biotech, chemical, F&B, or similar regulated/continuous process industries.
  • 3+ years hands-on with Siemens PCS 7 engineering, commissioning, and maintenance.
  • Demonstrated experience in FAT/SAT, validation, and change control.
