Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior HR Manager to lead and oversee the human resources function in India. This role will be responsible for driving HR strategy, ensuring compliance with local labor laws, fostering employee engagement, and supporting business growth through strong talent management practices. The manager will partner with the US HR team for alignment and consistency in all people related matters and functions. The ideal candidate is both a strategic partner to leadership and a hands-on HR leader who can scale processes, policies, and culture in a fast-growing organization.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership
•Partner with business leaders in India and US / HQ to align HR strategies with organizational goals.
- Develop and implement workforce planning, succession planning, and retention strategies.
Lead HR initiatives that promote a high-performance, inclusive, and employee-centric culture.
Talent Acquisition & Management
• Oversee recruitment strategies to attract top talent across technical and non-technical roles.
• Establish strong employer branding and hiring programs.
• Implement effective onboarding and career development frameworks.
Employee Engagement & Development
Design and execute employee engagement programs tailored to Indias workforce.
- Partner with US team to drive learning & development initiatives, mentoring programs, and leadership development.
Conduct regular employee feedback sessions and ensure continuous improvement.
HR Operations & Compliance
Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws, Shops & Establishments Acts, PF, ESIC, and other statutory requirements.
- Oversee payroll, benefits administration, and employee records.
Manage HR audits, policy updates, and vendor relationships.
Performance & Rewards
Partner with US team to roll out robust performance management systems
- Administer competitive compensation and benefits structures.
Support leadership with salary benchmarking and market analysis.
Employee Relations
Act as a trusted advisor for grievance handling and conflict resolution.
- Promote ethical practices, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
- Build strong relationships across teams to ensure an open and collaborative workplace.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 35 years in a managerial/leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws and statutory compliance.
- Proven success in scaling HR processes in mid-to-large organizations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in the IT/Tech/Healthcare sector preferred.
- People manager experience
