We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Tech SME
In this role you will:
- Act as a technical ambassador for Platform Hub, providing design guidance and coding support to VS teams based on Platform Hub's architecture design and best practice of coding during the onboarding process.
- Assist the VS teams to follow governance processes to ensure quality code and long-term technical design are in place for robustness and scaling of our service.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their requirements and tailor the onboarding process accordingly.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive onboarding documentation, including guides, FAQs, and troubleshooting tips.
- Contribute directly or provide code reviews to the transitioning of legacy code to Platform Hub plugin if needed.
- Monitor the onboarding progress of VS teams, identifying and addressing any technical or procedural bottlenecks.
- Identify and diagnose technical issues that teams may encounter during the onboarding process.
- Develop and implement effective solutions to resolve these issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with internal development teams to ensure that any platform-related bugs or enhancements are addressed promptly.
- Maintain a detailed log of issues and resolutions, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Gather feedback from onboarding teams to identify areas for improvement in Platform Hub.
- Work closely with the development team to implement enhancements and optimizations based on this feedback.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in iOS and Android development, incorporating relevant advancements into the onboarding process
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of resolving complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and priorities.
- Hands-on experience with version control systems, such as Git.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins.
- Understanding of mobile app performance optimization and security best practices.
- Experience with cloud services and APIs integration.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional experience in iOS or Android development.
- Prior experience in onboarding teams onto new platforms or systems is highly desirable.
