Job Overview

We are seeking a Design Estimation Engineer specializing in LT DG Sets to join our dynamic team at Goel Power Engineers. This mid-level, full-time position is based in Mumbai. The ideal candidate should have between 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in the industry. The successful applicant will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate design and estimation of our diesel generator projects to meet client specifications and requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong proficiency in electrical design, with a focus on DG set applications, is essential for this role.
  • Proven experience in cost estimation to ensure project proposals are both competitive and profitable for the company.
  • Expertise in sizing DG sets based on project load demands and operational efficiency considerations.
  • Ability to perform precise load calculations to ensure the reliable operation of the produced generator sets.
  • Understanding of HT and LT panel design to facilitate seamless integration of generator sets into existing electrical systems.
  • Competency in selecting appropriate switchgear to maintain the safety and reliability of electrical installations.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate engineering plans and link designs to project requirements effectively.
  • Collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with project managers, suppliers, and clients.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the drawing development on specified projects including independently performing design work along with directing drafting to generate control system documentation such as wiring diagrams, schematics, panel layouts and Bills of Material
  • Produce system deployment documents such as installation diagrams, demolition drawings and field wiring checkout sheets
  • Incorporate design specifications and other information provided by the project team into designs
  • Prepare/Review final material lists and submit to procurement
  • Manage, distribute, and archive as-built drawings and associated documentation
  • Provide design/drafting estimates to sales team and project leads

      Coordinating with customer/consultant wherever required for approval of drawings.

      Preparation of detailed BOM with Cat number as per approved drawings for manufacturing

      Managing software & records of all drawings and indents.
