Job Description

This role involves the development and application of engineering practice and knowledge in the following technologies: Design of mechanical systems, devices, equipment and machines; installing and maintaining mechanically functioning equipment; simulating a wide range of interactions and evaluate performance in real world scenarios; and develop prototype for manufacturability, testing and validation.

Job Description - Grade Specific

Focus on Mechanical and Physical Engineering. Develops competency in own area of expertise. Shares expertise and provides guidance and support to others. Interprets clients needs. Completes own role independently or with minimum supervision. Identifies problems and relevant issues in straight forward situations and generates solutions. Contributes in teamwork and interacts with customers.

  • Proficiency in GT-SUITE for 1D system-level simulations. Experience with other tools like StellaSIM, Simulink, or AMESim is also valuable.

  • A strong understanding of automotive systems, particularly electric vehicles (EVs), powertrain systems, and thermal management strategies

  • Familiarity with energy management principles, including energy recovery, battery modeling

  • The ability to analyze simulation results, identify issues, and propose effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and present findings
  • Master's degree in Thermal preferable
