Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager - Quality to lead our quality management initiatives across various areas, including customer quality, process quality, and quality management systems (QMS).
As the Manager - Quality, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products and services meet or exceed customer expectations and comply with relevant quality standards. We highly value candidates with prior experience in customer quality, process quality, and QMS roles, as they bring valuable expertise and insights to our quality management practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive quality management strategy to drive continuous improvement in customer quality, process quality, and adherence to QMS.
- Establish and maintain quality control processes to monitor and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) related to customer satisfaction, product quality, and process efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and customer service, to identify and address quality-related issues and drive effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct root cause analyses and implement robust problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, DMAIC) to address quality issues and prevent their recurrence.
- Lead the development and implementation of quality assurance procedures, including inspection plans, process audits, and product certifications, to ensure compliance with relevant quality standards and customer requirements.
- Drive the development and maintenance of a robust QMS, including documentation, training, and adherence to applicable regulations and industry standards Establish strong relationships with customers, acting as a point of contact for quality-related matters, managing customer complaints, and facilitating effective resolution and communication.
- Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with quality standards, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Lead and develop a team of qualified professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and training to enhance their skills and foster a culture of quality excellence.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging quality standards, and regulatory requirements, recommending and implementing necessary changes to ensure ongoing compliance and improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in quality management roles, with a focus on customer quality, process quality, and QMS.
- Strong knowledge of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., APQP, FMEA, SPC, PPAP).
- Familiarity with relevant quality standards, regulations, and industry best practices
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and drive effective solutions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
- Continuous learning mindset, keeping abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and quality advancements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BE Mechanical / Metallurgy with Relevant certifications in quality management
- Experience in industries with high-quality requirements, such as automotive, aerospace, medical devices, or electronics.
- Knowledge of lean and Six Sigma methodologies and their application in quality improvement.
- Experience with supplier quality management and supplier development.
