*Role Summary*

The Spotfire Platform Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, configuration, and performance optimization of the TIBCO Spotfire environment. This role ensures the availability, stability, and security of the Spotfire platform while supporting data analysts, data engineers, and business users across the organization. The administrator will also manage upgrades, troubleshoot technical issues, and coordinate integration with databases, authentication systems, and data sources.

*Key Responsibilities*

  • Install, configure, and maintain TIBCO Spotfire servers, Web Player, Automation Services, and related components.
  • Administer Spotfire platform including user access, licenses, groups, and security settings (via LDAP/AD or SSO).
  • Monitor system health, usage, and performance; perform capacity planning and tuning to ensure high availability.
  • Manage Spotfire Library, data connections, and information links.
  • Apply patches, upgrades, and hotfixes in coordination with IT and vendor teams.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to server performance, data source connectivity, and client configurations.
  • Support developers and analysts with deployments, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of dashboards and data models.
  • Automate administrative tasks using Python scripts or Spotfire APIs.
  • Implement and maintain governance policies, backup/recovery strategies, and platform documentation.
  • Collaborate with database administrators, security, and infrastructure teams to maintain integration and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise standards for data security, access control, and version management.
  • Provide L2/L3 support for Spotfire-related incidents and service requests.
