Job Overview
The Sales Officer - Retail will support sales efforts in the retail segment by developing relationships with dealers, educating customers, and promoting AAC blocks to ensure high product availability and visibility. The role focuses on achieving retail sales targets through market visits, customer engagement, and regular dealer support.
Role & responsibilities
Responsibilities and Duties
- Retail Relationship Management: Develop and manage relationships with retail dealers and distributors, providing support and ensuring proper product positioning.
- Product Education: Educate retail partners and end customers on AAC block features, applications, and benefits, acting as a brand ambassador.
- Sales Promotion: Implement and monitor sales promotions and marketing activities at the retail level to increase product visibility and drive demand.
- Inventory and Order Management: Track stock levels at retail locations, coordinate with the logistics team for timely deliveries, and assist retailers with order placement.
- Market Research: Gather market insights on retail trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities, reporting findings to the sales and marketing team.
- Sales Reporting: Maintain daily and weekly reports on sales performance, dealer engagement, and market conditions to track progress against targets
Preferred candidate profile
- Education: Bachelors degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: 2+ years in retail sales or Projects sales preferably in building materials (AAC Blocks, Cement)
- Sales Techniques: Knowledge of retail sales tactics, with proven experience in driving sales through customer relationships.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in CRM and sales software, with basic Excel skills for reporting.
