Core Responsibilities

  • Financial Record Keeping:Accurately record all financial transactions, manage accounts receivable and payable, and reconcile accounts, including bank and credit card statements.
  • Financial Reporting:Prepare and present various financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the company's financial health.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:Develop and manage budgets for departments or the entire company, as well as create financial forecasts to predict future financial performance.
  • Tax Planning and Filing:Prepare and file tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring accuracy and timely submission while staying informed about current tax laws and legislation.
  • Auditing and Compliance:Conduct internal audits or assist external auditors in reviewing financial documents and systems to ensure accuracy, identify discrepancies, and maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Strategic & Advisory Roles

  • Financial Analysis:Analyze financial data to assess a company's performance, identify trends, and provide management with valuable insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Cost Reduction and Profitability:Advise management on ways to reduce costs and improve overall profitability for the business.
  • Risk Analysis:Perform risk analysis evaluations to identify and mitigate potential financial risks within the organization.
  • Strategic Guidance:Provide strategic recommendations on financial matters, including potential investments, mergers, and acquisitions.
