We are growing fast and need a Healthcare Business Analyst to play a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. This role will involve working closely with internal teams and healthcare stakeholders to analyze, define, and implement AI-driven solutions that optimize workflows, enhance decision-making, and drive operational efficiency.
Role Overview
The Healthcare Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering requirements, mapping business processes, and collaborating with product and engineering teams to ensure that our solutions align with industry needs. This is a hands-on role that requires a deep understanding of healthcare workflows, data structures, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
- Work closely with healthcare providers, payers, and internal teams to gather and document business requirements.
- Analyze existing workflows and reimagine opportunities for AI-first process optimization.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories for development teams.
Solution Implementation & Process Optimization
- Partner with product and engineering teams to define and validate AI solutions that align with healthcare industry standards.
- Assist in the implementation of new features and process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Work on data mapping and integration requirements for interoperability with existing healthcare systems (EHRs, claims processing, etc.).
Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
- Act as a bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals.
- Develop and present business cases, process flows, and impact analyses to stakeholders.
- Provide training and documentation to end-users to ensure successful adoption of AI-powered solutions.
Data Analysis & Compliance
- Analyze healthcare data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations (HIPAA, CMS, etc.) when designing and implementing AI solutions.
- Work with the data science and engineering teams to validate model outputs and enhance decision-making frameworks.
Qualifications
- Experience: 4+ years in business analyst, product analyst/PM, or consulting roles in healthcare (provider, payer, or health tech).
- Healthcare Expertise: Strong understanding of healthcare operations, including claims processing, prior authorization, provider workflows, and regulatory compliance.
- Technical Acumen: Experience working with AI-driven solutions, data analysis, or healthcare IT systems (EHRs, HL7, FHIR, APIs).
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to break down complex problems, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.
- Basics of Project Management: Experience in Agile methodologies, including writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and working with development teams.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred: Experience with AI/ML applications in healthcare, SQL or Python for data analysis, and working in a startup or fast-paced environment.
