Desired Skills & Experience:

Required:

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Canada payroll processing.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll regulations and tax compliance requirements (including CPP, EI, and QPP).
  • Experience in expense management (preferably with tools like Concur).
  • Experience with variance analysis and payroll reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of ADP payroll software (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders (HR, finance, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve payroll-related issues promptly.
  • Strong understanding of tax deductions and remittance requirements in Canada.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise responses to payroll queries from employees.

Good to Have:

  • Experience or exposure to US payroll processing.
  • Familiarity with year-end processes, including T4/T4A slips and other tax forms.
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems integration and expense management tools.
