Job Purpose
As an IT Finance Analyst at PHINIA, this position is integral in optimizing the value of IT investments,

driving process excellence, and strengthening financial accountability across the global IT and

Engineering functions. This position extends beyond traditional reporting responsibilities- impact will be

measured by the capacity to correlate technology expenditure directly with business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Key Differentiators for the role:

  • Business-Outcome Focus: Quantify and communicate the value of IT invest ments that

resonate with business leaders—linking technology spend to outcomes like cost savings, revenue growth, or risk mitigation

  • Process Excellence and Composability: Facilitate a composable and agile operating model to

enable global teams to adapt and scale financial processes within PHINIA's IT landscape.

  • Trusted Partner: This role is designed for a proactive, strategic thinker who will help IT act as

a business partner and value driver, translating financial insights into action.

This position will support financial planning, cost management, digital investment governance,

and performance measurement to ensure IT delivers measurable business value in alignment with PHINIA's strategic priorities. Additionally, champion global process excellence, lead

operational financial workflows, and facilitate knowledge transfer to ensure consistency across

distributed teams. Collaboration with IT, Finance, and business leaders will help integrate

financial strategy, stewardship, and accountability into every technological investment PHINIA

makes.

Key Responsibilities

Budgeting, Forecasting, and Financial Strategy

  • Establish and continuously improve standardized, global financial processes across all IT

hubs and sites.

  • Lead monthly financial reviews, including budget vs. actual analysis, forecasting, and

commentary for IT cost centers and GLs.

  • Reconcile IT costs between SAP and OneStream, ensuring consistency and producing

executive-ready financial dashboards.

  • Collaborate with IT leaders to align budgets, long-term financial plans, and digital investment

roadmaps, supporting value realization and cost optimization.

Cost Management and Value Delivery

  • Proactively monitor and analyze costs across functions, regions, and IT service lines to

support business objectives.

  • Lead the quarterly true-up process for resource unit (RU) allocations, ensuring accuracy and

transparency.

  • Identify financial risks, value opportunities, and recommend actionable improvements to

drive continuous operational and financial performance.

Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Authorization Request (AR) Management

  • Own the full lifecycle of purchase order (PO) approvals and invoice tracking, coordinating with

all relevant stakeholders.

  • Oversee the AR process, ensuring financial justification, documentation, compliance, and

timely approval in line with SLAs.

  • Maintain business continuity and knowledge management through delegation and backup

coverage during personnel transitions.

Reporting, Governance, and Digital Value Metrics

  • Design and maintain dashboards, financial reports, and executive reporting packages

tailored for both finance and IT leadership.

  • Act as a strategic liaison between IT, Finance, Procurement, and business unit leaders,

resolving issues and ensuring data/reporting integrity.

  • Contribute to strategic financial reviews of IT contracts, investment cases, and outcomedriven

metrics—ensuring IT spend is directly linked to business value delivery (e.g., cost savings, revenue enablement, risk reduction) Process Documentation and Capability Building

  • Lead the documentation and periodic audit of all major IT financial processes, including PO, AR, forecasting, and accruals.
  • Ensure documentation is current, accessible, and audit-ready across global teams.
  • Facilitate onboarding and training for team members and delegates, fostering process

excellence and knowledge transfer. Business Partnership and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to IT and business leadership, translating financial insights into

actionable recommendations for decision-making.

  • Drive collaboration between Finance, IT, Procurement, and Business Units to ensure financial

alignment with strategic and operational goals.

  • Support development and ongoing improvement of KPI dashboards, digital value metrics,

and financial aspects of IT strategy.

VMO Responsibilities

  • Manage purchase orders, invoice tracking, and ensure alignment with vendor contracts.
  • Collaborate with the Vendor Management Office (VMO) to monitor vendor performance,

contract adherence, and governance procedures.

  • Coordinate with sourcing and procurement teams to support contract renewals and rate card

reviews.

  • Prepare and present regular financial dashboards and performance metrics for IT leadership.
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies, audit requirements, and internal controls.
  • Partner with project managers to track CapEx/OpEx allocations and financial KPIs.
  • Contribute to cost-benefit analyses, business case development, and strategic sourcing

discussions.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (Master's degree or

relevant professional certifications preferred)

  • 8–12 years' progressive experience in IT finance, financial planning & analysis, or technology

finance operations, ideally in a multinational environment

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP, Onestream, and ITFMS strongly

Preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and optimize cross-functional financial processes with

accountability and a continuous improvement mindset

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to convey complex financial data in

clear, business-relevant terms

  • Proven experience in process management, documentation, and stakeholder engagement
  • Strategic, analytical, and solutions-oriented thinker able to balance tactical execution with

long-term planning

  • Experience with outcome-driven financial metrics or digital value realization in IT/technology

organizations is a plus
