Job Title: Productivity Technical Specialist - Atlassian

Job Purpose

The role focuses on improving productivity, collaboration, and efficiency across Sage using technology tools like Microsoft, Atlassian (Jira, JSM, Confluence), and AI solutions.

Youll help teams adopt and use these tools effectively, share best practices, and support problem-solving through technology.

The role involves promoting new and existing tools, training others, and encouraging continuous learning to help colleagues work smarter and more independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use and manage Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, JSM) to improve teamwork, processes, and collaboration.
  • Act as a technical expert and advocate for Atlassian products, helping teams design and implement solutions.
  • Partner with stakeholders to create quick solutions that enhance productivity and user experience.
  • Ensure consistent governance, standards, and best practices in using Atlassian tools.
  • Build strong relationships with business and technology teams to promote proper and effective tool usage.
  • Provide expert advice on Jira and Confluence setup, permissions, and site management.
  • Create learning materials and training sessions to boost user adoption and collaboration.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends in Atlassian tools, Microsoft products, and AI.
  • Develop and maintain Jira solutions based on agreed requirements and standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Atlassian-related issues quickly and effectively.
  • Support modern, data-driven ways of working that enhance user experience.
  • Work within a collaborative, self-managed team to find and implement the best solutions.
  • Ensure all activities follow security and privacy standards.
  • Continuously learn and share knowledge to help others grow in using technology.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in Atlassian administration and development configuring, maintaining, and customizing Jira, Confluence, and related tools.
  • Strong technical understanding of workflows, automation, and integrations with other systems.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and other SaaS productivity tools.
  • Experience in project/change management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Atlassian Certified Professional) preferred.
  • Familiarity with Agile and IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills — able to train and guide users.
  • Organized, flexible, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and learning attitude.
