Role Summary:
The Registrar is the chief administrative officer of the university responsible for overseeing academic administration, examinations, admissions, and statutory compliance. The role involves strategic planning, policy implementation, and ensuring adherence to regulatory frameworks while facilitating smooth coordination among academic and administrative departments.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the university's academic administration, including admissions, registration, examinations, and maintenance of academic records.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory bodies such as UGC, AICTE, NAAC, and other relevant authorities.
- Oversee policy formulation, process standardization, and implementation of best practices in academic administration.
- Supervise and guide the Registrar's Office team, ensuring operational efficiency and service excellence.
- Manage internal and external communication with government bodies, accreditation agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of mandatory reports and documentation as required by regulatory authorities.
- Ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and security in all academic and administrative processes.
- Collaborate with senior leadership for strategic decision-making in academic planning, resource allocation, and institutional development.
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 18 years of relevant experience in academic administration, preferably in a University or higher education institution, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong expertise in university regulations, examination management, statutory compliance, and policy formulation.
- Proven leadership, strategic planning, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and advanced university management systems (ERP software).
Preferred Educational Qualification:
Doctorate or Master's degree in any discipline (preferred: Management, Education Administration, or Law).
