Role description
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on technical decision-making, architecture reviews, and engineering standards enforcement
  • Architect and manage cloud implementations, upgrades, migrations, and change requests
  • Evaluate systems for capacity, scalability, and reliability; identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
  • Design and implement event-driven architectures using AWS services (e.g., Lambda, SQS, SNS)
  • Define and enforce S3 lifecycle policies and RDS high-availability strategies
  • Develop and optimize Lambda functions for performance and cost efficiency
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Develop automation scripts to streamline operations using Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Monitor and maintain environments using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and centralized logging solutions
  • Lead workload optimization efforts following the AWS Well-Architected Framework
  • Drive cloud modernization initiatives, including cloud-native migrations of internal services and data platforms
  • Ensure security, compliance, and cost optimization through industry best practices and continuous learning
Skills & Qualifications

Required:

  • AWS Certification – AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) or higher
  • Proven experience architecting and engineering AWS environments
  • Hands-on expertise with core AWS services: EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, IAM, VPC
  • Strong experience with VPC design, availability zones, cloud networking, and security best practices
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools
  • Expertise with IaC tools: Terraform and/or CloudFormation
  • Familiarity with the AWS Well-Architected Framework

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with developers, DevOps, security, and operations teams
