Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Internal Auditor to join For You Mart. The Auditor will be responsible for auditing store and warehouse operations, identifying and controlling shrinkage, verifying purchase and sales transactions, and ensuring compliance with company policies and retail standards. The role will play a key part in improving internal controls, safeguarding assets, and ensuring accuracy in financial and operational data across all For You Mart stores and warehouses.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Store & Warehouse Audit:

  • Conduct periodic audits of all For You Mart retail stores and warehouses.
  • Verify physical vs. system stock and identify causes of shrinkage (theft, damage, billing error, etc.).
  • Review inward/outward stock movements, returns, and inter-store transfers.
  • Ensure all inventory handling procedures are followed as per company policy.

2. Shrinkage Control & Reporting:

  • Analyze store and warehouse shrinkage data and prepare root cause analysis reports.
  • Recommend corrective and preventive measures to reduce inventory losses.
  • Work closely with Store Managers and Warehouse Supervisors to monitor implementation of shrinkage control measures.

3. Purchase & Sales Audit:

  • Audit purchase orders, goods receipt notes, vendor bills, and purchase entries.
  • Cross-verify sales reports, billing data, discounts, and cash handling accuracy.
  • Check compliance of purchase and sales transactions with company SOPs and statutory requirements.

4. Compliance & Process Improvement:

  • Review adherence to operational SOPs, HR & cash management policies, and safety standards.
  • Identify gaps and suggest process improvements for better internal control.
  • Support management with audit insights and recommendations for business optimization.

5. Reporting:

  • Prepare audit reports and submit findings with corrective action plans to management.
  • Maintain audit trail documentation and ensure timely follow-up on action points.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Sound understanding of retail operations, stock management, and store processes.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, ERP/POS systems, and audit documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and travel to multiple store locations.

Educational Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance or related field.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in internal audit, preferably in retail, FMCG, or warehousing sector.
  • Experience in retail shrinkage analysis and inventory audit is highly preferred.
