We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Chartered Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of professional experience in accounting and finance, with a strong grasp of financial regulations and accounting principles. This role requires excellent analytical skills, proficiency in financial software, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Reporting:

  2. Prepare and present accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

  3. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

  4. Conduct periodic financial audits and reviews.

  5. Budgeting and Forecasting:

  6. Lead the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.

  7. Monitor budget performance and analyze variances.

  8. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.

  9. Tax Compliance:

  10. Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

  11. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.

  12. Liaise with tax authorities and manage tax audits.

  13. Internal Controls:

  14. Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures.

  15. Conduct internal audits to ensure financial integrity and operational efficiency.

  16. Identify and mitigate financial risks.

  17. Accounts Management:

  18. Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.

  19. Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies.

  20. Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with payroll regulations.

  21. Financial Analysis:

  22. Analyse financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.

  23. Prepare financial reports for management review.

  24. Support investment analysis and capital expenditure planning.

  25. Team Leadership:

  26. Supervise and mentor junior accountants and finance staff.

  27. Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
  28. Facilitate training sessions and workshops for team development.

Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) certification is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in accounting and finance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in financial modelling and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of IFRS and GAAP.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
