About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development professional to lead retail expansion across high streets and premium malls. The role involves end-to-end ownership of property acquisition, project management, and strategic expansion initiatives to strengthen the brands retail footprint across India.

Youll be responsible for driving new store openings, renewals, and portfolio optimization, while collaborating cross-functionally to ensure timely and compliant project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Business Expansion & Strategy

  • Lead end-to-end project execution from planning to successful store launch — ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and timelines.
  • Identify and evaluate new property opportunities in high streets and malls across India to support growth plans.
  • Drive strategic property acquisitions, store reprofiling, and relocation initiatives to maximize portfolio performance.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to align expansion plans with long-term business strategy.

Partnerships & Negotiations

  • Build and maintain a strong network of developers, landlords, and mall partners to secure premium locations.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and finalize rental agreements, LOIs, and lease documentation in line with company standards.
  • Manage timely renewals and ensure cost efficiency and profitability across the store portfolio.

Project & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) for all real estate and mall-related transactions.
  • Collaborate closely with Legal, Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Projects teams for smooth execution of new store openings and exits.
  • Ensure legal and statutory compliance for all NSOs (New Store Openings) and renewals.
  • Maintain robust project tracking and reporting systems to ensure transparency and accountability.

Market Analysis & Process Excellence

  • Conduct market data analysis to identify new opportunities and optimize store performance.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to shorten project timelines and improve efficiency.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and rental benchmarks to maintain a competitive edge.

  • Strong expertise in retail business development, property acquisition, and expansion projects.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Proven ability to handle high-value commercial discussions and landlord relationships.
  • Strong understanding of retail real estate dynamics, especially in high street and mall environments.
  • Exceptional communication, coordination, and stakeholder management capabilities.
