Job Overview
The incumbent will lead the formulation development team for development of cosmetics and commodity products. Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to meet the development timelines. Must have Innovation mindset to create a cost-effective product matrix of innovative products for the business. Candidate will be responsible for the development of quality products as per business requirements in a predefined network timelines. He/she should have thorough knowledge of chemistry of raw material and their potential activity/function in the products.

Raw material vendors, Manufacturing units

Reporting Structure
Reports to Senior Director- R&D, Packaging, Regulatory Affairs

Experience
10+ years of experience in product development of topical formulations for leave on and wash off products.

Competencies

• People management-managing a team of 4-5 Scientist
• Well verse with development of versatile dosage forms in Skin care-cosmetic (Creams, Gels, Lotions, face washes) and FMCG -commodity product range (specifically disinfectant segment).
• Understands the polymer science and the behavior of various polymers or thickening agents in terms of Rheology and their flow properties.
• Understanding of Claims in the products and knowledge of extending claims matrix of existing and NPDs.
• Innovation in beauty category and creation of differentiated product matrixes.
• Understanding of basic GMP and good documentation practices.
• Innovation mindset for developing differentiated innovative product with differentiated claims matrix.
• Thorough Understanding of Packaging and stability requirement for cosmetic products
• Thorough understanding of Cosmetic regulations.
