Role & responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced, handson Unit HR & Administration Lead to own HR, administration and compliance for our Nelamangala unit. You will be the primary HR business partner for the unit leadership team and will drive talent acquisition, engagement, development and statutory compliance to create a highperforming, safe and inclusive workplace.

  • Own endtoend HR, Administration and Compliance functions for the unit.
  • Partner with people managers to identify present and future talent needs and build robust talent pipelines.
  • Lead talent acquisition, onboarding, retention and succession planning initiatives.
  • Drive performance management conversations, capability building and career development interventions in alignment with India and group people strategies.
  • Design and implement employee engagement, mentoring, counselling and development programs with the support of the Learning Expert.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee relations; resolve grievances promptly and implement longterm preventive measures.
  • Ensure the unit meets all legal, statutory and ISO/IMS requirements; maintain accurate documentation and readiness for audits.
  • Collaborate with the Safety Officer to strengthen the unit's safety culture and compliance.
  • Leverage HR systems (SAP), HR tools and AIenabled solutions to improve processes and reporting.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications & experience

  • Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years experience managing UNIT HR, Administration and Compliance functions —preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, performance management and employee engagement.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to influence both line managers and employees.
  • Empathetic approach to counselling and employee relations; strong problemsolving orientation.
  • Collaborative mindset; comfortable working closely with crossfunctional stakeholders.
  • Sound knowledge of statutory compliance, IMS requirements, SAP and modern HR/AI tools.
